Day 1: Arrival in Marrakech
Your journey begins in the charming city of Marrakech. Upon arrival, you will be welcomed and transferred to an authentic riad in the heart of the medina. We recommend arriving as early as possible to take advantage of the ochre city and explore it. In the evening, enjoy dinner in the famous Jama El Fnaa Square, where the local aromas and sounds will envelop you.
Day 2: Marrakech – High Atlas – Ait Ben Haddou – Ouarzazate (190 km, 5h)
After breakfast, we will set off towards Ouarzazate, crossing the majestic High Atlas Mountains. On the way, we will visit the impressive fortress of Ait Ben Haddou, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and the setting for many iconic films. In the afternoon, we will explore the film studios of Ouarzazate, known as the “Hollywood of Africa”. The evening will be spent in a cosy local riad.
Day 3: Ouarzazate – Erfoud – Merzouga (360 km, 6:30 am)
We continue our journey towards the desert, passing through the Valley of Roses and the city of Erfoud. Upon arrival in Merzouga, at the gateway to the Sahara, we will embark on an unforgettable camel ride through the golden dunes of Erg Chebbi, just like the Berber nomads of old. The day ends in a luxurious tented camp, where we will enjoy a traditional dinner followed by Berber music under a starry sky.
Day 4: Merzouga – Dades Gorges (265 km, 4h30)
After breakfast, we set off towards the impressive Dades Gorges. Along the way, we will make several stops to enjoy and photograph the stunning landscapes. Upon arrival, relax in a comfortable riad and enjoy a delicious dinner.
Day 5: Dades Gorges – Marrakech (330 km, 6h)
Today, we return to Marrakech, crossing the Atlas Mountains once again. Upon arrival, you will have free time to explore the city at your own pace, whether it be shopping in the souks, visiting museums or simply relaxing in one of the charming terraces of the medina.
Day 6: Marrakech and departure
On the last day, after breakfast, we will take a guided tour of the Marrakech medina, including the magnificent Badi and Bahia Palaces. After a farewell lunch, you will be transferred to the airport, taking with you unforgettable memories of this Moroccan adventure.
